Roselle and Nghia met at work, but their proposal story is so sweet. They were in New Orleans for her sister’s graduation. (Nghia was slightly nervous about leaving his ring in his carry on bag, which due to a full flight had to be left in the front of the cabin.) Thankfully, Roselle suspected nothing. Once they were in town, Nghia took the opportunity to ask her dad’s permission, and once granted went into the room where Roselle was still sleeping. He slipped the ring on her finger and waited for her to wake up. Weeeell…. he might have been a little impatient, and he might have tried to wake her up. A couple of times. Once she was awake, and noticed the gorgeous sparkler on her finger, he asked the question and she said yes.
For their session Roselle wanted somewhere bright and colorful, and interesting. LACMA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art fit the bill. (And we got to see the Big Rock! a.k.a. Levitating Mass installed!) Nghia had been away for work for the entire week before their session. Roselle said it may have been the longest separation since they had started dating. The resulting session was so sweet and full of little romantic moments that we might just start asking our clients to spend a few days apart before we photograph them. Not really, but it was one of the sweetest sessions we have seen so far.
