“Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible – it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.” Katrina and Charlie could not have asked for a more perfect day. It was warm, but not unbearably hot, with a breeze carrying in the breath of the ocean. As Katrina got ready she wrote a note to her soon-to-be husband and sent her sister and maid-of-honor over to his room with his gift. She had gotten him new shoes – bright red high-tops – clearly this man has a love of bright shoes, evident by the neon yellow details on his Cole Haan’s. Charlie sent back a video message he had recorded earlier that day telling Katrina how much he loved her, how excited he was to get married, and a reminder to relax. His gift to her was incredibly thoughtful. She had shown him a Pinterest idea that had a passport of sorts to different restaurants for ideas where to go on their honeymoon. He made one in a leather journal with hand drawn illustrations. The Red Horse Barn in Huntington Beach was a beautiful venue and their outdoor summer wedding was full of fresh flowers and their yellow, coral and grey accent colors. The thank-you favors packed in little wood berry baskets had fresh baked scones with tiny jars of jam. Every detail was created with love and care. The dessert table was full of cakes, cookies, apple pie rollups, mini cheesecakes and panna cotta! Life is short, but sweet for certain! We could not have been more excited to be there for these two on their wedding day. As always we wish you both a lifetime of love and laughter!
