Meet Katie & Joey. An incredibly fun couple we met last weekend in Venice for their engagement session. They brought their dog, Fender, along for some of their pictures. He was very handsome in his bow tie, but also very interested in all the smells he discovered. We got a lot of input from the couple on what they wanted to do so we captured two different ‘looks’ during the shoot. The first half was the “lovey-dovey stuff,” according to Joey. For the second half we went down Abbot Kinney in the twilight for more dramatic shots using off-camera flash. They got all fancy and MadMen for this part (how perfect are their outfits? Love the black and white stripes and a corduroy jacket!!). We used the Rogue grid system over the flash for some of the images; giving them a spotlight look, which I love. And the “borrowed” cadillac prop is fantastic. Katie and Joey, you two are perfect together. Thank you so much for spending the afternoon with us!
