Chris & Katy’s Orange Circle Engagement Session

Katy & Chris brought all the ingredients for the perfect engagement session… fun props, bright coordinated outfits, and a love as big as the smiles on their faces. They met years ago through a mutual friend. Chris asked her to go snowboarding and thought it meant it was a date when she took the day off work to go. She thought they were just hanging out as friends… for what Chris took for 3 dates. Happily for Chris she was more than happy to go on more dates with him once she knew for sure they were dates.

We met them at the Orange Circle during one of the coldest weeks of the year for some fun with signs, gigantic balloons and of course lots of cuddling. Well… they did all the cuddling. Katy and Chris have a unique situation in that they already had a small family ceremony so that they could include Katy’s grandmother who was in hospice. Chris, who is a chef, cooked a family dinner at his restaurant afterwards and they are planning a wedding renewal at the Heritage Museum of Orange County in July later this year. Katy made Mr. & Mrs. chalkboard signs for their session. We are so excited to be a part of this wedding! It’s always so touching to photograph a couple that is so dedicated to family. You two are adorable and pretty much gorgeous! Thank you for choosing us to be your photographers.
